Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 29) – The Governor of the Barangay Geneva team, Alfrancis Chua, revealed that he has not personally received or read the extensive online post addressed to him by the embattled man Greg Slaughter.

According to the San Miguel Corp. sports director, he has not had any communication with Slaughter for months and remains in the dark about his recent virtual apology.

“Really? That’s good,” Chua nonchalantly told CNN Philippines upon learning of the post.

“There is no bad blood. I think he is mature enough to realize that what he did is wrong.”

“My intention was purely to improve myself both as a person and as a basketball player,” the 32-year veteran wrote.

“My only regret is that the communication between the management and me, in particular the boss Ramón S. Ang and the coach Alfrancis Chua, was not as fluid as I would have liked. I want to apologize to them and to the rest of the management.” he added. .

During his sabbatical, Slaughter spent most of his time training in the United States, where he signed with the international basketball agency BeoBasket and married his longtime girlfriend, Schinina Juban.

Ten months since he left, Slaughter expressed his desire to meet with Barangay Geneva saying: “I have learned a lot in the last year, and I am excited to show everyone that the next phase of my career will be the best yet.”

Chua, however, said it is too early to tell if a possible comeback is on the horizon for the 4x PBA champion.

“I’ve been very busy with work the last few weeks and I’m looking forward to the holidays, so I don’t think about it at first (that’s why I haven’t thought about it) “, said Chua.

“Maybe after the holidays we can speak in person,” added the sports executive.

Earlier this year, Chua said Slaughter’s decision to take a break will not be a huge blow to Barangay Geneva, as the Gin Kings won their first all-Philippine crown in 13 years inside the historic PBA bubble in Clark. , Pampanga.
