MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine government suspended all commercial flights to and from the country starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday May 3 to further curb the spread of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

No additional guidelines regarding the order were issued.
However, he said that flights related to cargo, medical supplies, utilities and maintenance flights will not be hampered.
Several parts of the country have been declared under general community quarantine and have eased their blockade or quarantine measures since Friday, May 1.
The improved community quarantine remained in place in other areas, including Metro Manila, Davao City and Cebu, where the main international airports are located.
