A timeline of the events leading up to the Armie Hammer sexual assault investigation

As multiple rumors and now full-blown sexual misconduct allegations have developed against Armie Hammer, more and more women have publicly spoken out against the law. Call me by your name actor, accusing him of abusive behavior.

The allegations came to a head on Thursday (March 18) when Los Angeles police confirmed The independent that Hammer “is the suspect named in an investigation of alleged sexual assault, initiated on February 3, 2021.”

The woman who reported the alleged assault, identified as Effie, spoke Thursday during a press conference with her attorney Gloria Allred.

“On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer raped me violently for more than four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly hit my head against the wall and hurt my face,” Effie alleged in a statement sent to The independent, which he read during Thursday’s press conference. “He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent.”
