Unknown to many, de los Santos is a streamer, and most of his content is about singing. The 31-year-old karateka uses this to relax from competition.

“Aside from competing, I am also a very active streamer on Kumu. It really is about proper time management. My competitions are generally held in the afternoon and I broadcast in the morning or at night, ”de los Santos told The Manila Times.

The Cebuano athlete is doing a Kumu campaign, the Metro Body Star, where he has to broadcast twice a day.

“I like singing more on my broadcasts because that is something that many Filipinos enjoy the most while watching broadcasts on Kumu. My mother and two sisters are also verified streamers on Kumu. I also try to broadcast my virtual tournaments when the signal reception allows it, ”he said.

De los Santos had a double celebration Saturday morning when he won his eighth gold medal in the second leg of the SportData eTournament World Series. At the same time, he received the 2020 Gawad Lasalyano award from his alma mater, De La Salle University Manila, for his exemplary record in the field of karate.

De los Santos of the International Shotokan Karate Federation defeated Gabriel Andrei Nedelcu of Romania in the championship match, further solidifying his position in the world No. 1 e-kata ranking.

He defeated William Tran of Sweden in the round of 32, defeated Markus Hecht of Germany in round 16, defeated Cornelius Johnsen of Norway in the quarter-finals and won against Silvio Cerone-Biagioni of South Africa in the semifinals.
