MANILA – A division of the Los Angeles Police Department in California said this week that it found a fake driver’s license with a photo of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The driver’s license had a Glendale address and a signature that read “Norman D,” as seen in a tweet from LAPD’s Rampart Division on Thursday. The rest of the license information was censored.
“Deputy officers acknowledged that the photo used in a false ID was that of the President of the Philippines,” the tweet reads.
“Good thing our officers are patrolling the historic Philippine city and are up to date. Nice try,” he added.

LAPD-Rampart did not reveal who the owner of the bogus license was.
The United States is home to the largest number of Filipinos abroad with 4.3 million people, according to the Migration Policy Institute. From 2014 to 2018, immigrants from the Philippines were highly concentrated in California at 43 percent, the institute said.
