Morgan left ITV’s morning talk show last night (March 9) after facing strong criticism for her comments about the Duchess of Sussex’s recent interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In the interview, Meghan revealed that she had experienced suicidal thoughts during her time as royalty. In Good morning Great BritainMorgan said, “I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word you said … I wouldn’t believe it if you read me a weather report.”
Following the news, a clip from Morgan’s 2018 interview with the Irish broadcaster RTE has been shared on social media. In the video, Morgan recalls her association with the former Suits star in 2016.
According to Morgan, they followed each other on Twitter in 2015 and she claimed to be a fan of him. The couple later struck up a friendship on the social media site.
Morgan claims, when Meghan came to the UK to watch Serena Williams play tennis at Wimbledon in July 2016, she met him at the pub.
“We were in the pub for two hours, she had a couple of dirty, pint martinis, we got along really well,” Morgan said. The Late Late Show. “Then I put her in a taxi and it turned out that it was the taxi that took her to a party where she met Prince Harry.”

Some social media users have suggested that the interaction may have been a factor in Morgan’s attitude toward the Duchess in later years.
