MANILA – There’s nothing else stopping Julia Barretto from declaring her feelings for actor Gerald Anderson.
This, after Anderson acknowledged in a personal interview with host Boy Abunda that aired on Friday, that he is currently happy with Barretto.
On Instagram, Barretto shared a sweet photo of herself and Anderson before greeting the latter with a happy birthday.
“Every day I celebrate you, but today I am very grateful,” wrote Barretto. “Happy birthday my love, I am SO PROUD OF YOU.”
Anderson’s birthday is March 7.
In mid-2019, Anderson was at the center of controversy after his breakup with actress Bea Alonzo.
He was later romantically linked to Barretto, his co-star in the Japanese-set romance drama “Between Maybes.” At the time, they both denied being more than friends.
In his interview with Abunda, the television host asked Anderson if Barretto is currently a source of happiness for Anderson, to which the former “Pinoy Big Brother” teen companion replied in the affirmative.
“Very happy. It’s a yes,” said Anderson, who seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.
Before the release of Barretto’s birthday on Sunday, the two made their first public appearance together on Saturday.
According to a Department of Transportation Facebook post, the two spearheaded an aid operation in Barangay San Agustín in Iba, Zambales to commemorate Anderson’s 32nd birthday. The latter has a rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary.
