BLACKPINK’s Rosé is having her own solo project, and it’s about time!
On January 25, YG Entertainment officially announced new details about Rosé’s solo debut. Soompi reported. According to the company, Rosé has already completed filming for her music video, and will be performing her debut solo song for the first time at BLACKPINK’s upcoming online concert “THE SHOW.” The concert will air live on January 31 at 12am EST.
Fans were delighted to hear confirmation of the vocalist’s solo efforts, and it’s easy to understand why. YG had originally announced that the four members of BLACKPINK were going to have solo paths since October 2018; So far, only Jennie has released a solo track, appropriately titled, “SOLO.”
The release of Rosé’s debut solo album is still the subject of speculation. By SoompiThe agency said, “We will make an official announcement regarding the schedule for the album release shortly.” YG also shared that “the song captures the“ sweet but soulful voice ”of the group’s lead vocalist, hinting that it will be“ surely different from BLACKPINK’s usual musical style. ”And apparently, Rosé herself asked to debut the track during“ THE SHOW ”instead of waiting for the album to be released.
The New Zealand native has a deep passion for music that was highlighted in BLACKPINK’s Netflix documentary. Light up the sky.
