TENNIS legend Rafael Nadal praised Alex Eala’s milestone and dedicated a full Instagram post to congratulate his victory.
“Congratulations Alex Eala on this important moment in your career. We are all very happy for you! Keep up the good work and attitude,” said the world No. 2, and five-time No. 1, of the Filipino ace.
At age 15, Eala claimed her first International Tennis Federation professional title on Sunday night after conquering W15 Manacor, beating much older opponents.

In the final round, she defeated Spain’s Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers, 28, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.
Nadal has always expressed his support for his academic at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca. Before Alex took over her championship match, the ATP champion also highlighted the Philippine’s feat in the semifinals against Hong Kong’s Adithya Karunaratne.

“Come on! Congratulations! Very happy for you,” the 34-year-old wrote (with a heart-eye emoji) in the comment section of an RNA post dedicated to Eala.
Eala only started joining professional women’s individual tournaments last year.
