MANILA, Philippines – The Pasig City government officially opened its commercial one-stop shop at Ayala Malls on Sunday in a bid to decrease foot traffic at City Hall once the peak season for permit renewals begins this year.
Mayor Vico Sotto promised that businessmen would no longer have to visit City Hall 20 times as in the past, but only two at most.
Sotto said that about 20 to 30 percent of the city’s budget came from revenues from 9,575 businesses located in Barangays San Antonio and Ugong.
