The NBA fined Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson $ 25,000 on Friday for making contact with a game official during Thursday’s 106-95 home loss to the Phoenix Suns.

Clarkson gave a light two-handed shove to a referee as he tried to track down a loose ball in the second quarter. A technical foul was called on the play.

Clarkson is averaging 16.5 points and 22.6 minutes this season, his seventh in the NBA. Clarkson is beginning his first full season in Utah after he was acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2019-20. Clarkson has averaged 14.8 points as a professional after being selected in the second round by the Washington Wizards in 2014.

Clarkson played more than three seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers (2014-18) before heading to Cleveland (2017-19) and Utah.
