December 29, 2020 (updated)

For the third day in a row after Christmas, the Health Department is reporting triple-digit cases, with 886 new cases today. The number of people who undergo the test stands at a low of 13,464 with 793 positives for a positive daily rate of 5.9 percent. The lower tests (and cases) can be attributed to the holiday season, as this trend is also seen globally (see data below).

The city of Davao led today’s tour with 61 new cases.

The DoH also reports 38 deaths during the day.

The good news? The Rt has dropped to 0.94 and hopefully with the long vacations in the country we can keep it that way.
