For Kapamilya’s young actor Edward Barber, Christmas 2020 is more meaningful and “extra special” despite being a “difficult year” after losing a loved one and being away from the two most important men in his life.
Admired by his fans, not only for his good looks but also for his remarkable ideas, Edward said that Christmas this year is very special as it is the year 2020, which has been a “great draw”.
“Everyone, rich or poor, whatever their status in life, (we) experience the same, with work, with family, with Covid, and everything” with the tests, the special day is “a hundred times” more significant in “appreciating what we have, appreciating the people around us,” family and all the blessings, he said.
Delivering his Christmas message to PBB Connect, Kuya’s Grand 4th Place in 2016, he explained: “It has been a difficult year, but this is a season of hope… joy and peace that we deserve, so (Christmas) means more” .
His words of “appreciating the people around us” have become more important since he lost his grandmother on December 21.
In his IG post dated December 26 (the day of his funeral), Edward said his goodbyes saying, “Your smile will always be the highlight of my 2020 … I love you Auntie always and forever.”
The two most influential men in Edward’s life are also separated from the family this Christmas season due to travel restrictions brought on by the global health crisis. His father Kevin is alone in Germany while his nonagenarian grandfather Harry is in England.
Fans of the young actor and Maymay Entrata are excited to see them in their latest movie featuring Princess DayaReese that will be shown this January 1.
