MANILA – The Simbang Gabi of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will culminate with Masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas in Bicol and Rome, respectively.
In a statement, the CCP said that its St. Gregory the Great Cathedral Parish Strenna Mass, also known as Albay Cathedral, will be presided over by Mgr. Joel Z. Baylon at 8 p.m. on December 24.
The mass will be broadcast live on CCP’s Facebook and YouTube channel. There will be a live pre-mass program with various performances at 7:30 pm
On December 25, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle will preside over the CCP’s Christmas Day virtual mass at 10 am. He will officiate Mass at the Pontifical Collegio Filippino in Rome, Italy.
Cardinal Tagle, former Archbishop of Manila and currently prefect of the Vatican Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, was president of the Episcopal Commission of the Pontifical Collegio Filippino for four years.
The Christmas Day Mass will also be streamed on CCP’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
