Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA), the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has been classified as a five-star global airline by the Association of Airline Passenger Experience (APEX).

APEX Official Airline Ratings ™ is the first airline rating program based solely on feedback from certified passengers.

The industry’s most anticipated honor is based on neutral feedback and feedback from third-party passengers.

During the Future Travel Experience APEX Virtual Expo, an award ceremony was held and SAUDIA was delighted to receive the Five-Star award.

Using a five-star scale, more than one million flights have been rated by passengers on nearly 600 airlines around the world and independently certified by a professional external auditing firm.

Commenting on the prestigious title, the CEO of Saudi Arabian Airlines, His Excellency Ing. Ibrahim Al-Omar commented: “The entire SAUDIA team is driven by the mandate to provide an exemplary level of service at every step. We are redefining the way our valued guests experience air travel with us, and we are proud to see that so far on this trip, the changes have been well received. “

Mr. Al-Omar continued: “We would like to thank all of our guests for flying with SAUDIA and we look forward to welcoming everyone on board once again.”

“Congratulations to Saudia who rose to become a global APEX 2021 Five Star airline based on the votes of passengers independently verified through TripIt® on thousands of Saudia flights,” stated Dr. Joe Leader, CEO of APEX.

He continued: “Only a single digit percentage of airlines worldwide achieve APEX Five Star Airline status with tremendous effort put into both their products and their service offerings. SAUDIA ratings from customers have steadily improved along with the airline’s product updates in recent years. The touches I personally admire are economy class hot towels, a Saudia exclusive international water bar / juice bar onboard, more extensive inflight entertainment offerings, improved Wi-Fi connectivity, in-flight product upgrades, and a better passenger service. “

SAUDIA previously received a four-star rating from APEX in 2017.

This year marks 75th anniversary of the award-winning national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia. SAUDIA is one of the first airlines to establish itself in the Middle East region.

In recent years, the airline has invested significantly in its fleet of 144 narrow- and wide-body aircraft and operates one of the youngest fleets in the skies, with an average aircraft age of 5 years.

The airline’s route network includes more than 95 destinations on four continents to the 28 domestic airports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Deep cleaning disinfection protocols are in full effect after every flight.
