MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Depression Vicky has so far caused P105 million worth of damage in the Caraga region, the National Council for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management said Sunday.
Torrential rains from the tropical cyclone have displaced some 5,000 people in the Davao and Caraga region. Previously, 55 people were pre-emptively evacuated in Central and Western Visayas.

Vicky also caused power outages in some areas of the Davao region.
At least 83 houses were also reported to have suffered damage in Cebu, which was also affected by the tropical depression.
Local officials in Agusan del Sur said this was the worst weather disturbance in Mindanao in recent years.
At least 3 people have been reported dead, but the NDDRRMC has not listed any victims so far.
