San-En NeoPhoenix avoided a total collapse at home by escaping visiting Niigata Albirex BB 85-81 for a third straight win in the 2020-21 B.League season on Saturday at the Toyohashi City Gymnasium in Japan.
The NeoPhoenix led by up to 15 early in the first half and held a double digit lead for most of the game, but had to fend off a furious rally from Niigata in the fourth quarter before improving to 5-17 in the West. . District.
Thirdy Ravena played his best game since recovering from COVID-19 and scored 11 points on 4 of 10 shots to go with two rebounds and one assist in nearly 17 minutes from the bench.
But the night belonged to Kyle Hunt, who had 17 points, 13 rebounds, a steal and a block, including a great basket that put San-En ahead definitively with 26 seconds left.
