CEBU CITY, Philippines – Another lawyer was shot and killed in Cebu just a month after a similar incident occurred.
Danao City Police confirmed that attorney Baby Maria Concepcion Landero-Ole was killed by as-yet unidentified killers while crossing the highway along Barangay Looc, Danao City at 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
Landero-Ole, a resident of Barangay Taboc, Danao City, was rushed to hospital, but doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival.
The investigators’ initial findings showed they received reports from concerned citizens of a triggering alarm along the highway.
They also cited eyewitness accounts that men on a motorcycle fled the crime scene.
However, they are still conducting an additional investigation, which included checking nearby closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, to determine if the attacker acted alone or was accompanied by others.
They are also determining the motive behind Landero-Ole’s death as of this post.

To remember, on November 23, attorney Joey Luis Wee was shot and killed in front of his law office in Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City.
One of the alleged gunmen behind Wee’s murder, Faustino Edgar Benigno Peralta, was arrested on December 8 in Laguna./dbs
