Swift’s longtime publicist Tree Paine retweeted the Kimmel announcement, noting that the singer would in fact be giving an interview on a late-night show. “Interview on Monday!” she captioned the retweet.
Increasingly is Swift’s second surprise album of 2020, after her critically acclaimed indie-folk album, Folklore, which fell in July. The new 15 tracks set dropped on Friday and finds Swift meeting with Folklore collaborators Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff and Justin Vernon.
“Since I was 13, I’ve been excited to turn 31 because it’s my lucky number backwards, so I wanted to surprise you with this now,” Swift explained in a letter announcing the project’s song list. “You have all been so loving, supportive and caring on my birthday, so this time I thought I would give you something! I also know that this Christmas season will be very lonely for most of us and if any of you are out there are those who turn to music to deal with missing loved ones like me, this is for you. “
