Move the advent calendarsTaylor Swift is now the central source of seasonal surprises, with fans believing that an LP called Woodvale could be next.
Taylor only released her latest folk-inspired album, Evermore, on Friday following the success of Folklore, but internet detectives have already found a hint of what they believe is a third release on the way.
Fans noticed the word ‘woodvale’ hidden in the trees from their summer release, Folklore. No one gave it much thought at the time, but now some are convinced that it is a clue from the famous Easter egg lover Taylor.
Most of the fans seemed surprised and delighted by the possibility, but one wrote: ‘I can’t memorize lyrics that fast, I’m not done with the lovers album yet. Chillax. Don’t release Woodvale yet.
And another wrote: ‘I COULD NOT HANDLE THIS EMOTIONALLY! ASDFGHJKL. ‘
Pop detectives pointed to a series of possible breadcrumbs that they suspected could lead to another batch of Taylor tunes.
The confetti included in the packaging of some shipments of the new album comes in three colors, tan, gray and teal. The first two colors seem to correspond to the respective Folklore and Evermore palettes, but the teal remains a mystery.
Could it be the Woodvale theme? Some Swifties say yes, especially after the seasonal color progression of the last two drops: autumn browns and winter grays.
Taylor also released a series of three cardigans for purchase. Two seem to match the aesthetics of their previous two albums, which is why some fans suspect that the third could be a welcoming Woodvale track.
And there could even be a British twist at play. Although Tay-Tay and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn are not married, as some expected, the 29-year-old actor collaborated on some songs forever under the alias of William Bowery.
A fan also saw that a sprawling Lake District property had been sold and wondered if the superstar singer could have bought it to live closer to her Royal Tunbridge Wells-born boyfriend.
So is Woodvale on the way? Only time, and maybe a cardigan, will tell.
