Jerrick Ahanmisi joins the PBA Rookie Draft and will resign his senior year with the Adamson Soaring Falcons. UAAP announced Friday that it was canceling its 83rd season.

Players have until January 27, 2021 to submit their applications, while draft picks will be March 14, 2021.

“I feel like I’m ready for the PBA and ready to start a new journey in my career. It’s going to be tough to follow, but I’m ready to work and push myself,” Ahanmisi said. “And you also know my brother [Maverick] He’s also in the league so it will definitely be a dream come true to play in the same league as my brother, especially as professionals. It is going to be very fun! “

Ahanmisi thrived in his senior year with Adamson, averaging 13.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists. However, his team did not make the Final Four, finishing 4-10 in the 82nd UAAP season.

Ahanmisi also made the UAAP Mythical Five selection once in 2018, where the team blew a two-time lead to beat UP in the semifinals. Adamson also made the postseason in his first three seasons there.

Adamson’s coach Franz Pumaren said he was recently informed by Ahanmisi that he was leaving the team.
