NBA trade rumors: Bucks and Heat are now on James Harden’s trade wish list

As we get closer and closer to the start of the 2020-21 NBA season, you can bet the Houston Rockets wanted a solution to the James Harden situation sooner rather than later. Either he reports to camp and joins the team or whether it is to find an exchange that will appease both Harden and the team.

Interestingly, in recent days, James Harden’s business wish list has been reported to extend beyond the Brooklyn Nets. The Philadelphia 76ers, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat are also reportedly included in their list of preferred trade destinations.

This makes perfect sense to see the Heat on this “list.” Miami is a promising contender, coming off a run to the NBA Finals in the NBA reset bubble. The Heat have a couple of young assets on the roster and would only need to find a few first-round picks to offer in an attempt to put together a legitimate offer.

Would Miami’s offer be better than one the Philadelphia 76ers or Brooklyn Nets can put together? It’s hard to say, but they could potentially create a competitive offering.

You can’t help but wonder if the Bucks are feeling a bit of remorse after trading three first-round picks, among other pieces, for Jrue Holiday earlier this offseason. Buyer’s remorse may not be the proper wording, but as it stands, they may not have enough assets to appease Houston and acquire Harden.

That’s fine, but if the Bucks don’t go after Harden and trade him to another Eastern Conference contender, there will be a “what if” feeling at some point this season. Even more so if Milwaukee loses Giannis in free agency next offseason.

It is difficult to say where this report comes from. Does it come from the James Harden camp or the Houston Rockets camp? Generally, it comes from one of two parties. At this point, it is difficult. Harden seems to want a trade, and perhaps desperately. The Rockets seem to want a resolution.

There does not appear to be a trade momentum, but it is increasingly likely that it will wind down sometime over the next several weeks. Where will James Harden land? At this point, it is difficult to predict.
