Cone is honored to surpass Jaworski in most titles with Geneva

TIM Cone reached another milestone in his coaching career when he led Barangay Geneva to its 13th PBA crown on Wednesday.

In addition to capturing his 23rd career title, Cone became Barangay Geneva’s winningest coach in terms of number of titles, claiming his fifth with the Gin Kings when they defeated TNT on Wednesday for the Cup crown. of the Philippines of the PBA 2020.

Cone eclipsed the mark of none other than Robert Jaworski, who trained and played for Barangay Geneva from 1984 to 1998.

While winning championships has been a regular thing for him, Cone said he’s honored to be mentioned with players like Jaworski and Baby Dalupan, the coach who previously held the most championship record in the PBA at 16.

“Just being mentioned with the greats like Baby Dalupan and Sonny Jaworski, it gives me goose bumps to be mentioned in those names. I have been lucky to have that opportunity. I was lucky to have relationships with both based on coaching. Once again, being a part of that is an incredible experience, ”Cone said.
