MANILA, Philippines – Dwight Ramos’ play in the second window of the 2021 Fiba Asia Cup Qualifiers certainly did not go unnoticed.

After his appearance as one of the best players of the young Filipino team inside the Bahrain bubble, Ramos was among the five players included in Fiba’s list of the great jumpers in the qualifying tournament.

The 22-year-old guard has seen a dramatic increase in production since he debuted with Gilas Pilipinas last February.

Ramos, the Ateneo recruit, scored just five points and had five rebounds in a 100-70 win over Indonesia in the first window.

But recently, tasked with playing a bigger role in the pair of games against Thailand, Ramos stepped up and averaged 16.5 points and 6.0 rebounds.

Ramos, 6-foot-4, had his best game yet for the Philippines in the first meeting with the Thais when he delivered an offensive game, finishing with 20 points on 7 of 7 shooting from the field.
