Christmas parties amid a pandemic – SUNSTAR

[ad_1]

Since the COVID-19 restrictions are still in place, public and private organizations and offices are considering the idea of continuing to celebrate Christmas virtually.

It cannot be avoided that physical distancing is still part of the health protocols enforced by the government, which is why it is not advisable to hold the Christmas party with the physical presence of the attendees.

Even local government units also open their Christmas villages with restrictions. Like the Government of the city of Silay, the inauguration of its Christmas village on December 6 was done virtually. It was nice and safe.

It is true that there are many ways to celebrate the season under the new normal.

As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure, and therefore it is also wise to give up the usual parties that we were used to before the pandemic.

For one thing, Zoom parties are now the trend. It’s also fun to see faces online and exchange gifts. But of course, the gifts will be delivered via courier after the party or the following days.

We must welcome these changes because this is the surest way to end 2020 with a bang in terms of good health and safety.

But for those of you who would love to party and have fun with coworkers, friends, and family, amid the threat of the virus, I have a few tips that may be helpful to ensure the safety of all attendees.

First, choose an outdoor location to enjoy an outdoor environment. With this, people can sometimes remove the masks, especially when eating.

If the place is outdoors, there will be less risk of transmission.

Observe the physical distance when sitting. A distance of one meter between them is still the safest setting. When you get your food, continue to save your personal space. This will allow you to choose your favorite food without rushing.

When you speak, be sure to wear the mask. Never risk forgetting it because it is your best line of protection against the virus.

Always make sure you carry your alcohol with you or you can wash your hands with soap as often as possible.

Let’s not be complacent. We can enjoy the season safely by following health protocols.
