* SPOILERS ALERT * This past weekend marked the end of the popular tvN drama Start up starring Suzy as the determined CEO Seo Dal-mi, Nam Joo-hyuk as the dumb genius Nam Do-san, Kim Seon-ho as the resourceful investor Han Ji-pyeong, and Kang Han-na as the trusting heiress Won In-jae . In episode 16, the Cheongmyeong Company submitted Tarzan for the Smart City offer and Do-san promised to propose to Dal-mi if they won.

They also demonstrated how Samsan Tech 2.0 is no longer gullible by detecting who the hackers behind the ransomware were (it was the twins!) And not falling for the journalist’s tactics of smearing them in an article. Since they end up being chosen for the finals, Dal-mi also decides to get more investors and this is how Ji-pyeong finally adds himself as a shareholder in his company. Speaking of Ji-pyeong, he and Dal-mi have a kind of quick close in which he admits how the latter’s letters were also his only companion, but they weren’t meant to be. We can also see Yeo Jin-goo, the voice behind the lovable AI Yeong-sil, make an adorable physical cameo as Hong Ji-seok. whose orphan startup sees Ji-pyeong investing in his company in a personal capacity.

While Halmeoni (Kim Hae-sook) is delighted to learn that Do-san has returned and reunited with Dal-mi, she runs to comfort Ji-pyeong by giving us another memorable scene, telling her ‘good boy’ that she doesn’t know anymore. sit alone. Halmeoni also has a tearful reunion with In-jae, who is now going as Seo In-jae. Although she is blind, it was such a rewarding moment watching her imagine the entire Seo family back together as they were all those years ago. In-jae even gets his music box back after properly reconciling with his sister, but not before confidently confronting his cruel stepfather Won Doo-jung (Um Hyo-sup) during a question and answer session, which was almost empty. because Morning Group was caught in the ransomware scandal.

Lee Chul-san’s (Yoo Su-bin) and Jeong Sa-ha (Stephanie Lee) porters rejoiced when the latter introduced the former as her boyfriend to her sister. As for Kim Yong-san (Kim Do-wan), we see an endearing moment with In-jae when he apologizes to her for judging her in the past. The Samsan Tech trio also share an emotional hug when they discover their old office has been taken over by three guys looking to start their own start-up like they did a long time ago. Do-san and Ji-pyeong also have a ‘bury the ax’ moment, as we said earlier because Ji-pyeong sincerely believes in the Cheongmyeong Company (unlike Samsan Tech!) And decides to invest in them. It’s also Yeon Seon-hak (Seo Yi-sook) and Park Dong-chun (Kim Min-seok) who hilariously convince Ji-pyeong to talk to Dal-mi and Do-san. Ji-pyeong also shares a cute ‘job well done’ moment with Dong-chun because he noticed Ji-seok’s initial tone.

The epilogue takes place in present day 2020 with Cheongmyeong Company enjoying well deserved success. Through Do-san and Dal-mi’s desk, we see with poignant snapshots that the two were married while Chul-san had to shave her head confirming that they won the bid. The ending sequence sees Dal-mi, Do-san, Ji-pyeong, and In-jae walking side by side with happy smiles, heading to the shareholders meeting.
