MIES (Switzerland) – The official logo for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 was unveiled on Friday as part of the launch of FIBA’s new #DontMissABeat campaign.
The newly unveiled logo concept for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup stems from three key elements: a heart, the Naismith Trophy, and the year 2023.
The side heart symbolizes the passion for the game, while the Naismith Trophy is the dream of all teams participating in the World Cup.
The “23” represents the year during which the spotlight will shine in three host countries: the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.
The three host countries have a great passion for basketball and this love for the game is embodied in the new logo for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, which will bring together millions of fans, with millions of hearts beating as one. .
The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup promises to be an unforgettable event with the flagship competition, scheduled from August 25 to September 10, 2023, to be held in the three cities of Manila, Okinawa and Jakarta.
The Group Phase will take place in all three cities, and the Final Phase will follow in the Philippine capital of Manila. All three nations will share the same passion and dream, with three times the pride and three times the energy and enthusiasm throughout the 17 days of action.
