Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. fight results: live boxing updates, scorecard, start time, card

[ad_1]

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. were two of the greatest boxers of their generation: Tyson one of the fiercest punchers in boxing history and Jones a pound-for-pound elite. A fight between the two was once discussed when they were active competitors, but now it happens in an exhibition with both of them in their 50s on Saturday night.

The fight takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and airs on pay-per-view with the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET. The fight will be remotely scored by “celebrity judges” assigned by the WBC for the WBC-created Frontline Championship. Commission officials have stated that fighting is not about portraying the men fighting with all their effort, but about being “hard training” to showcase their skills. Despite statements from the supervisory body about the rules, Tyson and Jones have vowed that they will do everything possible to achieve victory.
