The robust online shopping data reflects a trend that many retailers and industry watchers expected: more consumers are avoiding shopping malls and buying gifts from their couches during the epidemic.

Like all aspects of 2020, the global health crisis has shaken Christmas shopping. Retailers are closing, including Walmart and Target Sale in mid-October to coincide with Amazon Prime Day. They’ve expanded one-day sales events, giving shoppers less reason to participate this Black Friday.

Adobe said it is projected to be the two largest online sales days ever on Black Friday and Cyber ​​Monday. Black Friday sales are expected to range from $ 8.9 billion to $ 10.6 billion and online sales are expected to increase to $ 189 billion throughout the holiday season.
