Rain showers in Metro Manila, other parts of Luzon due to LPA – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon will experience rain on Friday due to a low pressure area, the meteorological bureau said.

In its daily weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said an area of ​​low pressure was located in the vicinity of Bubulong Munti, Bulacan at 3 am on Friday.

It is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon region, La Union and Pangasinan.

The same weather conditions are also expected in the Caraga and Davao regions due to easterly winds.

The Bicol, Mimaropa, Visayas and the rest of Mindanao region will also experience partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated showers or thunderstorms due to easterly winds.

Pagasa warned that flash floods and landslides are possible in areas affected by the rain.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over the Cordillera Administrative Region, the Cagayan Valley and the rest of the Ilocos region due to the northeast monsoon.

Northern and Central Luzon will have moderate to strong winds in the northeast direction, with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Moderate to strong winds will be experienced from east to northeast over southern Luzon, along with moderate sea conditions.

Meanwhile, Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate east to northeast winds and light to moderate coastal conditions.
