What You May Not Know About The 2021 GRAMMY Nominees
With the 2021 Grammy nominees now available, let’s take a look at some of this year’s nominees who are making history on music’s biggest night. The 63rd Grammy Awards will be held on January 31, 2021!
- As for Queen Bey, her nine 63rd GRAMMY nominations bring her total number of professional nominations to 79, making her the most nominated woman in GRAMMY history.
- Beyonce is now tied with Paul McCartney for the second most nominated artist of all time, behind only her husband JAY-Z (who received three nominations this year) and legendary producer Quincy Jones, who have 80 career nominations.
- The pop // R&B superstar has won 24 GRAMMY awards to date, and if she wins at least four of her nine nominations, she will become the female artist with the most GRAMMY awards. If you win eight or nine, you will have the most GRAMMY awards of all time.
- In particular, all of the nominees in the Best New Artist category are women and / or people of color. Stallion and Bridgers’ talented teammates are Ingrid Andress, Chika, Noah Cyrus, D Smoke, Doja Cat, and KAYTRANADA.
