Both Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor love him.
That’s what Audie Attar of Paradigm Sports Management believes, referring to a potential super fight between the two fighters.
In an interview on Bloomberg, Attar said the UFC superstar would only have to take care of a few matters before settling things for the Pacquiao fight.
“Conor fights Dustin Poirier, I think it’s January 24th. He’s going to do business with Dustin first, but Conor said he wants to fight Manny,” Attar said.
Attar, who manages McGregor and has a Pacquiao promotional partnership, said it will be easy to organize the fight given the interest of the fans and the will of both fighters.
“Manny said he wants to fight Conor. Like I said before, we had talks before. That’s a fight we’re definitely going to do because both fighters want it,” Attar said.
“And there seems to be interest from fans around the world.”
Meanwhile, Pacquiao’s MP Promotions teased to set the fight in 2021.
MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons posted a photo on Instagram showing 2 pairs of gloves and a helmet.
One pair has Pacquiao’s name, while the other has McGregor’s name.
The caption reads: “2021 !!! Viva !!!”
If the fight goes forward, it will be a boxing match similar to that of McGregor-Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017.
McGregor lost that fight, his first professional fight in boxing, but he posted the second-highest pay-per-view purchase rate in history.
Mayweather reportedly made $ 280 million from the fight and McGregor made $ 130 million.
Pacquiao and McGregor may not double the same income, but a super fight between them is expected to generate a considerable amount of income.
