BEIJING, Nov.24 (Xinhua) – The world governing body for basketball, FIBA, confirmed the schedule for the next window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.
The games, which will take place between November 27 and 30, will be played in mini-tournament formats in Bahrain and Doha in order to ensure the health and safety of all participants.
Groups A and D matches will be played in Bahrain, while Group E matches will be played in Doha, Qatar. Groups B, C and F games will not be played during this November period. Group B includes China, Japan, Chinese Taipei, and Malaysia.
The next and final window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 qualifiers will take place from February 18 to 22, 2021. The top two teams from each of the six groups at the end of the qualifiers will qualify directly for the tournament.
The third-place teams in each group will proceed to play in a separate tournament to determine the remaining four teams that will complete the 16-team field of the Asian Cup. Final product
