The perennial All-Star tore his right Achilles tendon during training Wednesday, and an MRI in Los Angeles confirmed the severity of Thompson’s injury, the Warriors said on their website.

“I can’t just sit here and say I feel good,” Myers said. “I have confidence in our players. I have confidence in our coaches. I have confidence in our property. We are going to keep moving. We are never going to stop. But to be honest, it hurts. It hurts and I know it hurts our organization.”
Wiseman plays center, not Thompson’s shooting guard position, but he’ll have to meet Curry and Draymond Green to ensure the 2020-21 season isn’t another flop.
Curry’s top three, Thompson and Green, 30, have helped the Warriors establish a dynastic side, winning three NBA titles in five consecutive Finals appearances.
