Go, a former special assistant to the president, added that the CEO has always been busy working and leading the country amidst the challenges brought on by natural disasters and the coronavirus pandemic.

“Others have contributed nothing other than criticism while we are in action. What people need is immediate action and assistance. We will always prioritize the well-being and life of Filipinos, ”he said.

During his visit to flood victims in the city of Marikina on Monday, Go explained that the president was closely monitoring and giving directives to respond to the immediate needs of Filipinos while still able to fulfill his duties as head of state in the 37th Southeast Association. Summit of Leaders of Asian Nations (ASEAN).

“In truth, our president was at the Asean summit on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. While he was in the middle of the summit fulfilling his duty as head of state representing the Philippines, he was still monitoring the situation… he flew to Marikina. At the close of the Asean Summit, he flew to the Cagayan Valley. We also flew to Camarines Sur, ”said the senator.

“[T]The president has no flaws. All government agencies are deployed to provide assistance, which means they are all over the country … he went to Cagayan; ordered all government agencies to provide immediate assistance, ”said the senator.

Go called for unity and urged critics to help their compatriots rather than improve the lives of those affected by the crises.

“Your criticisms have not contributed anything. We can overcome these challenges through our Bayanihan spirit. Let’s cooperate and be compassionate with our fellow Filipinos so that we can get through this, ”he said.

Go assured the typhoon victims that the government would leave no one behind, as the president promised.

“Those who want to relocate can come to our office. I can be your bridge to the National Housing Authority and to the entire national government, ”he said.
