Angel Locsin ‘body-shamed’ in physical education example for the learning module

MANILA, Philippines – Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin was used as an example in a learning module reportedly prepared by a teacher from Occidental Mindoro for the province’s Division of Schools.
As seen in the photos of the module that circulated online on Friday, Angel was described as “obese” under a PE problem.
The module says: “Situation: Angel Locsin is obese. She, along with Coco Martin, eats fatty and sweet foods at the Mang Inasal fast food restaurant most of the time. At home, she always watches television and does not has occupations. “
Keep asking “What do you think will happen to Angel if he continues with his lifestyle?” and “How does lifestyle affect an individual’s health?”
It was noted that the social media account of the teacher associated with the module was deactivated after the photos went viral.
Angel, who is busy helping Filipinos affected by Typhoon Ulysses, has not publicly reacted to the reported module.
His followers, however, have denounced the educator responsible for his alleged insensitivity.
A concerned netizen posted that the module may have chosen to use “fictitious names” instead of naming celebrities.
“Calling a person obese obese is not a bodily shame unless the person finds it insulting and their intention is insulting,” commented another online user.
“What’s wrong here is using someone’s name as an example and linking it to obesity and unhealthy eating habits without adequate evidence that she (Angel) was diagnosed as obese by doctors … it could have been her size due to its conditions and many factors. “
