MANILA – A Filipino-American joins the camp of US President Donald Trump to challenge the results of the 2020 election.
Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes said he is “on personal leave to help prepare and support litigation in various states that address the compromised electoral process.”
He later clarified that a license will not be taken from the office, but instead will take a “personal weekend to help review and advise on potential lawsuits” related to vote counting in various states.

While he believes that not all votes in the 2020 American polls are fraudulent, Reyes claimed that the counting of votes in the battlefield states may have compromised “the overall fairness of the electoral process and may disenfranchise millions. of Americans. “

Trump’s campaign team has already filed lawsuits in several states to challenge the vote count, but has yet to gain ground in court.
Reyes’ comments come days after he was re-elected as Utah’s chief prosecutor. He was first appointed to the position in 2013.
Reyes is also on President Donald Trump’s commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
Last August, Reyes was one of the speakers at the Republican National Convention, where he highlighted his Filipino roots and defended Trump’s re-election, citing his shared fight with the U.S. president on human trafficking.
