The Department of Health (DOH) reported Sunday that Covid-19 cases rose to 396,395 after a total of 2,442 newly confirmed cases were recorded.
There were also 11,430 that have recovered through the implementation of the “time-based recovery strategy” called “Oplan Recovery”.
Oplan Recovery is an initiative that DOH activated to monitor the status of confirmed Covid-19 deaths and recoveries. 54 deaths were recorded.
Under Oplan Recovery, a patient is labeled as recovered when certain conditions are met even without repeating the RT-PCR test and is recommended by the Philippine College of Physicians and the Philippine Society of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
Of the total number of cases, 6.9 percent (27,218) are active cases, 91.2 percent (361,638) have recovered and 1.90 percent (7,539) have died.
The main regions with cases in the last two weeks were the National Capital Region (612 or 28 percent), Region 4A (522 or 24 percent) and Region 3 (167 or 8 percent).
Thirteen labs were unable to submit their data to the Covid-19 Data Repository System on November 7, 2020.
