2,157 new COVID-19 infections raise the total PH to 393,961

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) reported 2,157 additional infections of the coronavirus disease, bringing the country’s total number of cases to 393,961.

In its Saturday case bulletin released at 4 p.m., the health agency said 36,260, or 9.2 percent of all COVID-19 cases were active cases.

Meanwhile, 252 more recoveries were documented, bringing the total of COVID-19 survivors to 350,216.

However, the death toll from COVID-19 reached 7,485 across the country with 24 new deaths.

DOH once again reviewed the total number of COVID-19 cases after eliminating five duplicate cases. Of these, four were recoveries.

Six recoveries were also reclassified as deaths, the DOH said.

Nine molecular labs did not submit their COVID-19 case counts to DOH on Nov.6.
