Would James Reid save Billy Crawford from a P5 million debt?

Turns out, James Reid isn’t the type to leave his friends hanging even when they borrow a large amount of money from him, as demonstrated in Billy Crawford’s live TV prank call.

Crawford decided to play a prank on Reid by pretending he was in dire need of money during a segment of “Lunch Out Loud” released yesterday, November 5.

“Will he let me air or will my brother James Reid love me?” Crawford wondered as he prepared to call Reid. (Will you leave me hanging or does my brother James Reid love me?)

‘It is no problem’

Crawford started the call by asking the usual “how are you” and congratulated Reid on Nadine Luster’s successful release of the visual album “Wildest Dreams” earlier this month.

He then proceeded to explain his “situation” to Reid, emphasizing, “Listen, James, I hate this to you, bro. I’m in big trouble right now. I have a big problem. I’m really ashamed, sorry bro. “

“Listen. I’m a little stressed and I need help. Since the whole pandemic thing started, we are all trying to move on and do our thing, but the problem is, for a long time, six, seven months, I have not won. no money, right? “

“So obviously you know where this is going, bro. I’m about to lose my home, ”Crawford added.

Reid could only reply with “no way”. Crawford then went on to explain that he will lose his home and that he was only “given a few months to pay for it.”

“Are you good if I can borrow, say, before 5 million?” the joker continued as his co-hosts tried to remain quiet and eagerly awaited Reid’s response.

“Well, right now, my situation is that most of my money is in Australia, so I have some (pee) here with me,” he said. The amount Reid mentioned was censored on the show.

“Oh dammit. Wait, you know, I really don’t want to do this to you, bro, because, like, I really feel ashamed. So any amount right now will suffice, ”Crawford responded.

Reid then replied that he is “willing to help” and that “no problem”. He then told Crawford that he would contact him as he simply cannot leave where he was at the time.

Crawford then asked Reid for another favor, which was if he could borrow his car for work.

“Obviously, I’m not going to tell my wife everything because she just gave birth. I have a new son and he’s a disaster, ”Crawford explained. “Would you be able to do something really fast, maybe less than a week, like 2.5 or 3 million at least, or whatever you can?”

“Or even 500,000 or 150, it doesn’t matter. I’m really desperate now bro. Don’t tell anybody this but I sold my car […] Two days ago I sold my bike because I really need funds, ”he added.

Crawford then asked if he could borrow Reid’s car, to which Reid replied, “A car? Yes, sure. Yes, I have a spare car. Actually, no problem, man. “

After getting Reid’s approval, Crawford decided to put a twist on it by asking Reid if he could sell the car and promised that he would return more money than he borrowed, all while his co-hosts tried to hold back laughter in the background.

After a brief pause, Reid replied, “Okay, let me transfer the amount I have in my bank right now,” without responding to Crawford’s offer to sell his car.

“Most of my money is in Australia, but I plan to bring a large amount of it anyway, due to the way things are going here. Then I’ll let you know. I’ll get in touch with you today. ”

Crawford then asked if Reid was “mad” at him, to which Reid replied, “No, not at all. I understand you completely. You have a kid.”

“Yeah, I get it, man. I know it’s not easy. But I’m here for you, brother. I completely understand it, ”Reid emphasized.

After Reid said he would let Crawford know how much he could send around lunchtime, Crawford insisted that Reid send a quick P1,500 right away so his wife, Coleen Garcia, could pay for the diapers.

“Okay, yeah, sure. How am I going to send you that? Reid asked.

“Wait, let me try to figure this out. I can actually text you the bank account so you can transfer it or you can just sit back or relax because this is a prank call bro. ”Crawford then revealed.

When the studio erupted after the big reveal, Reid could only laugh and said to Crawford “Billy… oh my gosh. That’s how much I love you, bro! “

“I know! I could say you love me. Imagine, you told us how much money you have in your account right now, bro!” Crawford replied as he and his co-hosts laughed.

“This is one of the reasons why you were my first target because I love you brother and I know you will never leave me hanging,” he added.

“Brother, I’m going to kill you when I see you!” Reid could only reply.
