DOH and DTI to Release Price Range for COVID-19 Test Kits for Next Week

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said earlier in the day that DTI and DOH are likely to release the recommended price range for coronavirus testing for next week.

Vergeire said the variety of test kits, lab processes, and overhead costs of running labs were considered in determining the price range for COVID-19 testing.

The OCTA Research Group earlier this week said that the COVID-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila is steadily declining as the country’s daily coronavirus cases also continue to decline.

According to the Johns Hopkins University coronavirus control panel, more than 48.6 million people have been infected by the COVID-19 virus worldwide since the start of the pandemic. Of these, more than 1.2 million have died and more than 32 million have recovered.
