MANILA, Philippines – “Gladiator” actor Russell Crowe expressed concern for the safety of Filipinos when Typhoon Rolly (international name: Goni) swept through parts of the Philippines.

“I just read about the Super Typhoon Goni. Extraordinary wind speeds, “Crowe said Sunday on his Twitter account.

“Thinking of the people of the Philippines and wishing everyone’s safety,” he added.

Earlier, “Avengers” actor Mark Ruffalo also asked for prayers and donations for the victims of Typhoon Rolly.

Rolly made landfall for the fourth time in Lobo, Batangas at 5:30 pm

It is seen moving into the Batangas and Cavite area and is projected to exit the Luzon landmass Sunday night.

Most provinces, including Metro Manila, have already been downgraded to Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3. There are no more provinces under TCWS No. 4.
