The government forms the vaccination team against the COVID-19 vaccine
MANILA, Philippines – The Interagency Working Group against COVID-19 (IATF) has created a team that will lead the government’s immunization program once the COVID-19 vaccine is available in the country.
Through Resolution No. 82, the COVID-19 Immunization Program Management Organizational Structure was formed and directed by the Department of Health (DOH).
“The Organizational Management Structure of the COVID-19 Immunization Program will be under the National Working Group on COVID-19. They were instructed to meet immediately, ”said Roque.
Meanwhile, the new government quarantine classification that will be implemented throughout the month of November was finalized.
The recommended areas to be under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) are:
Metro Manila
Batangas
Iloilo City
Bacolod
Tacloban city
Iligan City
South Lanao
The rest of the country will be subject to modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) until the end of November.
The government has also allowed the resumption of face-to-face clinical practices for medical students at the University of the Philippines School of Medicine, under the Philippine General Hospital. MNP (with reporting from Rosalie Coz)
