One of the most anticipated parts of the recently concluded Miss Universe Philippines 2020 was when the finalists strutted on stage in their evening dresses. More than 40 candidates showed their style, but these women left a mark on their amazing looks.

Miss Iloilo City

The crowned queen, Rabiya Mateo, set the stage on fire in a dark pink Jung Candelario dress. The romantic floral details and sheer train complemented Mateo’s sweet look. Candelario, an Iloilo-based designer, also created the white dress with a see-through train worn by the 2020 Miss Universe Philippines winner during the preliminaries.

Best in Evening Gown winner Ysabella Ysmael definitely wore that body-hugging blush pink number from Furne One for Amato Couture. The astonishing stage presence of the first runner-up and her graceful gait, perhaps due to her ballet training, during the preliminary round wonderfully led to the number trimmed by the stage.

Michelle Gumabao’s Ezra Santos green evening dress fit her like a glove, accentuating her beautiful curves juxtaposed with her long straight hair.

Miss Davao City

Davao’s candidate Alaiza Malinao got it right twice during the preliminary and final rounds. During the preliminaries, Malinao was a sight to behold in a tight, almost dripping gold gown made by 20-year-old Paris-based designer Jude Macasinag. The color complemented her tanned skin and the fit perfectly highlighted her curves. During the finale, she showed off her Filipino beauty in an elegant white Jo Rubio suit.

Billie Hakenson looked like a nature goddess in a chartreuse embellished dress from Louie Pangilinan. The thigh-high slit and the curtains showed her shape.

Winston Sy’s sparkling, shimmering and splendid silver Maria Fee Tajaran evening gown was also a star during the preliminaries. And when the final came, she was drenched in gold in a tight-fitting dress with fringes by Pablo Méndez.
