The PBA announced in a statement Monday that the game between TNT and NorthPort scheduled for 6:45 pm has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

“The TNT-NorthPort game was canceled as a precautionary measure,” said Willie Marcial, PBA commissioner.

The game between Phoenix Super LPG and NLEX Road Warriors, which will be Calvin Abueva’s first game after his suspension is lifted, will continue, but the start time will be moved from the original time of 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

The postponement of the TNT-NorthPort game comes in light of the quarantine imposed on Tropang Giga after coming into contact with Blackwater Elite. It’s the second game the league has canceled after Sunday’s Blackwater-Rain or Shine tilt was also postponed.

The commissioner also mentioned that the teams will undergo another round of testing on Tuesday.

“All the PBA delegates: officials, staff and referees, TV5 delegates, Quest Hotel staff, PBA teams tested negative,” Marcial said in a message. “TNT, Dyip, Magnolia, Meralco and Phoenix will undergo their third cycle of PCR tests [Tuesday] followed by the remaining teams in the next few days. “

The Blackwater player, who was initially suspected positive for COVID-19, came back negative in subsequent tests, the league announced Monday.
