MANILA, Philippines – After nearly 20 years, actress Assunta de Rossi finally achieved her wish to become a mother after giving birth to her first child, Fiore.
Assunta’s sister Alessandra shared the joyous news in an Instagram post on Friday.
“This is the most beautiful photo of a lifetime! Little Fiore and tears of joy in my sister’s eyes, ”Alessandra said in her post, showing Assunta with her daughter.
“Almost 20 years in the making! Miracles happen every day, and this is the best! “she added.
Celebrity publicist Jun Lalin also shared a photo of Assunta’s little bundle of joy.
In Jun’s post, she shared that Fiore’s full name is Giulia Fiorentina Alessandra. He was born at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in the city of San Juan at 7:06 am on October 23.
The baby weighed 5 pounds 12 ounces and was delivered by elective caesarean section at 38 weeks “due to a uterine fibroid.”
It was in May that Assunta announced that she was pregnant with her first child with her husband, the politician Jules Ledesma.
Assunta previously said her baby was a “miracle” as she and Jules have been waiting for a child for 18 years.
The couple married in 2004.
