LUCENA CITY – Quezón Governor Danilo Suárez ordered all mayors and disaster risk reduction management offices to prepare for the Fifth Tropical Depression.
“All LCEs (local CEOs) and LDRRMOs (local disaster risk reduction management offices) are encouraged to be more vigilant as we prepare / anticipate the apparent effects of this tropical depression,” Suárez said in its Memorandum of Order No. 130 issued on Friday. , a copy of which was posted on his social media account.
Suárez also tasked all concerned local officials and offices with carrying out the necessary measures based on the “Ready Protocol” and other preventive measures for the rainy season.
The “Operation Ready” of the Department of the Interior and Local Government aims to strengthen the disaster preparedness of local government units.

“Quinta” is expected to develop into a tropical storm before making landfall in the Bicolr region on Monday.
