MANILA, Philippines – The Inter-Agency Working Group on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has allowed entry of foreigners with an investor visa starting next month, IATF spokesman Harry Roque said Friday.

According to Roque, foreigners authorized to enter the country as of November 1 include those with visas issued by the Immigration Office in accordance with Executive Order No. 226, or the Omnibus Investment Code, as amended, and the Law of the Republic. No. 8756; those with 47 (a) (2) visas issued by the Department of Justice; and visas issued by the Aurora Pacific Freeport and Economic Zone Authority and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.

“The entry of these foreigners to the country, however, is subject to conditions, such as that they must have a valid and current visa at the time of entry and in the same way they must have a pre-reserved accredited quarantine facility,” said Roque a statement.

“In addition, they must be subject to the maximum capacity of incoming passengers at the port and the date of entry and must follow applicable immigration laws, rules and regulations,” he added.
