Guy Sebastian reveals why he was skeptical about joining TikTok … before his videos went viral

Like the rest of us, Guy Sebastian and his family have had to find interesting ways to entertain themselves during the confinement.

And on Thursday, the 38-year-old Australian singer, who has amassed more than 1.7 million likes on TikTok, revealed why he decided to join the popular app.

“I really enjoyed making the videos,” he told Daily Mail Australia.

‘I think it’s a very fun platform and [my wife] Jules led the charge on that. She was the first in the family to jump on TikTok, ‘he continued.

‘I was skeptical at first. He didn’t know if this was going to last forever. But when I got involved, I thought, “Oh my gosh. This is a really fun platform.”

The former X Factor judge continued: “What I like most about him is how positive he is, and that’s why he has taken off so much during this time.”

“Everyone is smiling there, everyone is happy,” he added.

Loving him: ‘I was skeptical at first. I didn’t know if this was going to last forever. But when I got involved, I thought, “OMG. This is a really fun platform,” Guy explained.

“It’s not about being too cool for school, but I need to improve my dance before I start doing a lot of TikTok dances,” he laughed.

Since joining the video-sharing platform, Guy and his wife Jules have shared several clips of them dancing to viral videos, along with their sons Hudson, eight, and Archer, five.

The singer also gifted fans with an exclusive first look at his newly released album, TRUTH.

Never so old! In May, Jules, 41, admitted that he initially thought he was ‘too old’ for the popular app.
