Pogoy is injured and Tropang Giga achieves its fourth consecutive win – News | PBA

RR Pogoy played through a sprained ankle and best typified the desire and determination that TNT Tropang Giga displayed in rejecting the Phoenix Super LPG, 110-91, for victory No. 4 in the PBA bubble game at the AUF Sports Arena with Smart 5G technology in Angeles City, Pampanga Monday.

Pogoy and his teammates fell behind by 14 and still by nine at the half, and struggled to turn things around in the final half, beating the Fuel Masters in an undefeated squad duel.

A game-day decision, Pogoy ignored his injury and even shone more for TNT as they stretched his perfect run after previous wins over Alaska Milk, Terrafirma and San Miguel Beer.

Phoenix, meanwhile, suffered a first loss after a 2-0 start.

“For us coaches, he’s supposed to rest. But the kid wanted to play. We are lucky to have a player like him, all our hearts,” TNT coach Bong Ravena said of Pogoy.
